Pen, brush and ink on 11 x 17 drafting film Tools: Hunt 102 and 108 nibs, a #2 watercolor brush and a bottle of Koh-I-noor India ink. Back on the West Coast of Canada, these panels are taken from shots of artist, Chris Williams in East Vancouver. He’s posed for all the ref photos that I’ve needed so far of Starkweather. We have a lot more work to do. This is the only other piece drawn directly onto drafting film. I like the immediacy of it but it’s certainly a different beast. Slicker than but not as elegant as drawing lines on illustration board. I’ll be doing more drawing on film in the future. -Jay
