Kor'dus of the Usurpur, is most likely the very last of his kind who is not dead, sick, dying, or living in slavery. The Usurpur are a race of chondrichthye-like biped humanoids who once ruled the galaxy many millennia ago. Their once great empire spread across hundreds of systems and thousands of planets. They ruled their Empire with fairness, justice, and honor. Until a small clash between the Usurpur and mercenary pirates gave a great few the opportunity they needed to attack the Usurpur. All of the Usurpurs enemies united under a single banner and a great war that spanned across the galaxy tore their race apart. The end came when a deadly biological weapon was released on the Usurpur and their allies. The virus spread quickly and their once great empire fell into shambles. The virus took its toll on the Usurpur and one by one they started dying. Until now all is left of the Usurpur are a few hundred or so scattered across the galaxy to prevent extinction. Kor'dus was given the "Crown of Power" in which the single ruler of the Usurpur wears until his death. The crown grants its wearer certain abilities such as the power of flight, faster than light speed, enhanced strength, and also the wearer is telepathically connected to every last member of his entire race. All the memories, battles, history, and culture of the Usurpur are immediately absorbed by the wearer of this crown. When a single Usurpur dies, Kordus hears their last breath.
