Female bums are usually harder to spot since they are more concerned with holding appearnces.  It's only a general trend of course, but I can see why that'd be the case. If you're essentially told, even if not in so many words, that your worth as a person is essentially proportional to your apperance, and you loose all other status symbols, you're gonna cling to what you got left.
