I love the Golden Oldies very much. They were created after I interviewed several hundred elderly people, getting their views on what is and isn't funny, and what they like best and least about being old.

Their answers surprised me. The number one complaint from these people is that they feel invisible. They believe that younger people do not take them seriously, that they become essentially faceless - just an old person.

My theory is that if you have to be invisible, you might as well invent a world of your own where life becomes fun again. And, just for the record, I hope this complaint ceases to exist soon. Go hang out with a Golden Oldie right now. Go on and do it. Back to the Cast Page
