Sometimes I lean towards the arcane with these cartoons.  When I've watched vice president Dick Cheney on tv, lately, I've noticed that he's becoming wound ever tighter.  For someone who refuses to accept any form of perceived criticism, recent events (Libby verdict) must be tough to swallow.  And speaking of swallow, my mind wandered to Mr. Cheney's personality away from the job.  Is he the kind of person who's a real bear at work, then becomes a pussycat when he comes home?  Frankly, I find that difficult to believe.  Those who love him best may disagree, but I imagined a Dick Cheney who can brook no opposition whatsoever, even over something as mundane as a dinner roll.
