Jimmy and Alice's romance was a classic one: boy meets girl meets boy, boy and girl get into relationship, boy and girl quickly spiral into an inescapeable relationship of mutual abuse held together by explosive sex. A few years after arriving in Chicago, Jimmy met Alice, a suburban-bred art student studying performance art at the Art Institute. You know the type: beautiful, strong-willed, but batshit insane. Although their relationship was founded on a series of drunken after-party hookups, Alice spearheaded it into something like a real relationship. Alice's physical and verbal abuse was complemented by Jimmy's serial infidelity and emotional distance. By some Satantic miracle they stayed together three years before breaking it off. The only problem is they share[d] the same friends, leading to many awkward encounters at further parties and get-togethers.
At twenty-six, Alice continues to pursue her work as a performance artist on the Chicago circuit, while supporting herself by peddling the wares of Dov Charney (and occasionally fucking him, probably). Her nights of wild partying waning in her middle twenties, she's found the blow she took only for the nightlife is slipping dangerously into her daylight activities.
