Camille Dumas (camidumas) says:
Often I don't "get" the Hero of 3 Faces comics just because I haven't watched all the shows involved, or simply haven't watched them closely enough, but damnit, I think I'm equipped to get this one and I don't. Is it seriously that Martha's black and Barbara and Ian are racist? In _1969_ they won't let a black woman who is a friend of a very close friend of theirs into their house? That seems awfully uniikely. I've seen this comic 3-4 times now in checking for Hero updates and every time I see it i wonder if I'm a moron.
Paul Gadzikowski (pgadzikowski) says:
No, you've got it.
Waterfall 8484 (waterfall) says:
You know, I've been pondering this one (like Camille Dumas I see most of your strips more than once while checking for updates) and I find it hard to believe that after meeting all kinds of aliens the two of them would be this racist against anyone, let alone someone of their own species. Perhaps uncomfortable at first, yes, since this is an "alien" invading their homesphere and it goes against the conventions of their time, but even so. And it is the *Doctor's* friend, which should also count for something. Also, in the series both Ian and Barbara have always struck me as tolerant people. ...I may be overthinking this. Still, it makes for a good statement, I'll give you that. :~)
