The Crunchberry Beast (or C.B., as he's affectionately known) was the last of his kind, a dim-witted but docile species of herbivores occupying one of the smaller of the Fruit Islands. The island is the one place on Earth where the sweet red crunchberries which were the beast's sole dietary staple grew.
Found by Cap'n Crunch when he was just an orphaned cub, C.B. was well-loved and looked after. Sadly, it was just this bond that King Ayummayumma (acting on behalf of Chocula) exploited when he abused and corrupted the beast, turning him into a physical and emotional weapon against the Cap'n and his allies.
