Thank you for helping me out!

The reinforcements!  Yeah, I know, you guys have waited a couple of weeks for this one, but I've been waiting to draw this page for almost 20 years!

And, yeah, it was totally worth it!

Joshua Ryman (steak) says:

Sweet cuppin' cakes!  It's a friggin' Mascot Armada!

How many lawyers did you have to call to pull this panel off?

Ludlow Smith (ludlow) says:

Holy...

Fruit Stripe...Punchy...the Campbell Soup Kids gone nutty...AND...please, can it be? The Frito Bandito?

Unbelievable. Seriously, unbelievable.

Billy D (billy_dole) says: Ooooh boy. I foresee that somebody's going to get a nice Hawaiian punch.
Cheryl E. Grant (cegrant) says:

The Campbell Soup kids are packin! Mmm Mmm good!

Amazing!

Marrock Volsung (marrockv) says:

I have seen the future... and it's a blast.

Punchy brought his knucks and an evil grin, this is gonna bet good.

And why do I get the feeling that Chester Cheetah is going to bepulling some "matrix" moves in the upcoming s#!tstorm?

Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says:

HEY KOOL-AID MAN!!!!

How's about a nice Hawaiian Punch guy looks a tad insane.

Hell with Super Bear. We got Icee Bear.

But the Campbell's Soup kids are awesome.

I suppose the Hostess guys are all right, but I'm disappointed that the Little Debbie people wasn't a safe use. Like I said before, that chick can bring the scary.

How do I say this. Oh yeah: I LOVE THIS COMIC!

Chris Karukas (tadghostal) says:

Holy $#!t and a half! I did NOT see this coming! I can only second everything everyone else has said!

"there are no words... they should have sent a poet...."

Well DONE, Sir!

duane korol (sdklocke) says:  What, wheres Mr. peanut, Mr. Salty, the Cracker Jack kid, And most importantly Mr Freaking Clean; he would mop the floor with sogmaster and his goons!
Marrock Volsung (marrockv) says:

@duane korol: Well, unless folks drink or eat anything with the Mr. Clean name on it, I doubt you'd see him among the assembled masses here.

Though... I wouldn't be surprised to see General Mills or Cornelius, the Kellogs rooster, make a cameo at some point.

steve strahm (fettsvett201) says:

Fruit Stripe Zebra

You have a bad ass Fruit Stirpe Zebra

I havent had any of that gum in at least ten years

This comic just gets more and more awesome

Sean Martin (martino13) says: Well done, Sir. Well done.
Joshua Ryman (steak) says: I remember there being a dog mascot for Alpha-Bits cereal back when I was a kid - and I have now verified through Inter-Nets that he was "Alfie the Alpha-Bits Wonder Dog."  Has he made an appearance in any of the BotG episodes that I might have missed?
duane korol (sdklocke) says:         Food and drink guys only eh...So hows about the A&W Bear, Colnel Sanders,The Noid, Harry s Hippo(Punch Crunch),the Wackies gorilla, the Corn Burst alligator,Bob's Big Boy,Otis the Scottsman (the original Oks cereal mascot.) Capt Tootsie from Toostie Rolls, The Fruity Yummy Mummy, the Funny Face Gang, The Nabisco Thing,The Great Rolloopo, the Dough Boy, and Clanky the chocolate syrup Robot,
Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says: The Twinkie Cowboy has a certain Village People vibe to him. I think its the neckerchief with hearts. Still, I expect he will unload some kickass moves on these breakfast cereal mascots. Just the preservatives that make up his organic structure will probably make him invulnerable to soggie attack. He'll soak'em up and keep on shooting.
eric fields (emf) says: Oh wow!  I did not see this coming! Not in a million years could I have guessed. Snack food mascots and cereal mascots join forces to fight evil! This is beyond excellent!

The Campbell's kids look more dangerous and pissed off than I rememeber them.  In fact all these junk food heroes look pretty tough.  I suspect the Keebler elf there is particularly angry about what happened to his elfin brothers, Snap, Crackle, and Pop.
jhon jhones (aaaaaaaaaassssssssss) says: this seems like one of those stories in wich good beats evil  but i hope to count gets some backup and is it me on did chester chetta go from being a rebel to an a-hole in the recent years
Graveyard Greg (graveyardgreg) says: This is one fine comic.
Andy Phillips (waphillips) says: jhon jhones -  The count already had backup, aka Soggies.
Ludlow Smith (ludlow) says:

Count's got the Soggies -and- let's not forget: the soggies' overlord who's presumably lying in wait inside their spacecraft.

The suspense is killing me: I -have- to know what kind of freakish havok the Campbell Kids are going to wreak all over the Cerelia countryside.

Quentin Long (cubist) says: Whatever flavor(s) of havoc the Campbell Kids are going to wreak, I betcha it'll be mmm-mmm good!
Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says:

Agreed. The havoc should be like another two-page spread, but this time with animation, and 'splosions, and SCHOOLBUSES! AND TANKS! AND FIRE TORNADOS! Or maybe I'm going overboard again... well, anyway, Cry Havoc and Let Slip the Ads for War!!!

Ben Claymier (claymier2) says:

I just have to say this:

i was recommended to your comic by a friend/professor of mine, a one nathan wallace osu professor and lover of comics, and I gotta say, I can NOT stop reading this webcomic, it's the best damn thing i've seen webwise, and trust me, I have seen PLENTY. as a guy who's loved comics with a nigh religious ferver all his 21 years, I gotta say that you're an inspiration to people that want to make a career of comics. not to sound like a kiss ass, but I really cannot wait for new pages! and as far as snackfood warefare goes, i'd LOVE to see Little Debbie go apeshit on Le Foot and his crew!

and one last nagging question: what do the people of cerealia eat for breakfast? is cereal eating technically canibalism?

eric fields (emf) says:

Ben, I'm glad you asked these questions, because cereal-eating in Cerealia is a topic I've been dying to over-analyze.

What do the people of Cerealia eat for breakfast?

There is plenty of cereal eating going on in Cerealia.  For example look at Page 1, Book 3, the scene with Tony's kitchen.  You can see bowls and spoons on the table. Plus there is a carton of milk on the counter.  Also recall the Temptation of Rabbit in Book 2.  Since it is always morning in Cerealia, arguably every meal of the day can be called breakfast.

The people of Cerealia also drink beer and smoke cigarettes, and Rabbit does harder stuff than this, e.g. a bottle of something called "The Cheap Stuff" seen on his desk at the end of Book 1.

What is the relationship between a cereal mascot and his or her cereal? What does it mean when a character eats his own cereal?

I'd venture to guess that a cereal mascot eating his own cereal is not cannibalism, but more like narcissism or self-love. A few characters exemplify a healthy relationship with themselves and their own cereal.  For example Tony the Tiger is courageous and confident, and loves eating his own cereal. Regarding the flakes of his own cereal, he exclaims, "They're great!" Other characters love their cereal a little too much, in the manner of an unhealthy addiction, e.g. Sonny Bird "Cuckoo for Coco-Puffs".  Trix Rabbit probably has the most screwed-up and disfunctional relationship with his own cereal.  Or maybe it's Sugar Bear that has the worst self-cereal relationship?  Lucky the Leprechan is pretty messed up too what with his all-consuming paranoia...

I'd be tempted to say that each character is defined by his or her cereal, but this isn't always true.  E.g. the Count and Frankenberry seem to have neutral or nonexistent relationships with their own cereals.

Brendan Jones (poyorick) says: I love you guys.  Seriously.
Andy Phillips (waphillips) says: We love you too, Brendan Jones.
Patrick Duke (captainswift) says:

Holy frickin' cow.  I just discovered this, and it is instantly my favorite web comic.

I am in awe.

Rob Tilley (tarpo) says: There is something sad about the fact that I looked at the panel and without on ounce of irony said "HEY! Kool Aid!"
