Ragnarok the Red (ragnarokthered) says: Love the Who Frame Roger Rabbit - Judge Doom reference here :)
Ed Gedeon (eddurd) says: Well, the vampire schtick was corny, and he acted a little flaky, so it seems only right that ...
Marrock Volsung (marrockv) says: Not with a bang, but with a snap, crackle, and pop does the world end...
S Mac (smac) says: Wow...this is just plain good story telling...
Billy D (billy_dole) says: And where's the Trix Rabbit in all this? Did he scamper off to avoind the new sunlight?
Brendan Jones (poyorick) says:

Hey Billy,

Check page 32.  T.R. may be dead but he died heroically, redeeming himself somewhat for his betrayal of Cap'n Crunch.

eric fields (emf) says:

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say...

It's all right
;-)

It looks like the forces of darkness have lost: Monsieur La Foote, Lucky, Sonny the Cuckoo Bird, Frankenberry, Fruit Brute, and now Count Chocula too!

Also Booberry and Quake seem to have switched allegances.

So uh.. what's left? Just have to mop up those Soggies, I think.

Rick Smith (llsmith) says: There's someone bigger than the Soggies. This battle ain't over yet.
Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says:

I like that he had proper Nosferatu fangs.

I quake at the sequel: Taste the Milk of Chocula

duane korol (sdklocke) says: We still have to see the final throw down with the Sogg Master.
David Minerley (dharma88) says: So will we ever find out who made Frankenberry?
Kevin Conod (kdconod) says: Over? I don't think so - who's in the other coffin?
Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says:

And what is Quake going to do with the Soggy ship? And recall that the Chocula was berated by an electronic presence early in the war.

There are still untied threads left .....

Billy D (billy_dole) says:

Brendan,

Last we saw, Trix Rabbit got bit by Chocula. Traditionally, that's how Chocula's kind reproduces.

Brendan Jones (poyorick) says:

Hey Billy,

Technically (if such a thing can be said of folklore) a vampire's victim only becomes a vampire if they also are fed the vampire's blood.  And then you rise as a vampire three nights later.

If you're simply drained by a vampire without imbibing their blood in the process, you just die.

All that being said, I'm afraid that T.R., for my purposes, is done.  Hopefully enjoying a big bowl of Trix in the Afterlife.

Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says: Considering the Christ imagery you cast T.R in for his final panel, one might imagine a miraculous return 3 days later, but not as a vampire. Just sayin'.
Justin Levsey (wobbls) says: I just found this comic today.  Truly fantastic epic series, the story and the artwork is captivating.  Never would I have imagined that cereal mascots had such depth.  And now the real question...is this the end of the series?
Brendan Jones (poyorick) says: Hi Justin - and welcome!  Glad you're digging BOTG and, yes, Book Three is the end (as it was always planned to be) though it's stretched out longer than I originally thought it would.  Page 45 will be the end bringing the full series to 105 pages.  Not too shabby and I hope folks've gotten their money's worth!
duane korol (sdklocke) says: 10 more to go....
Shaun College (sayman) says:

I'm loving this trilogy, but I can't help but notice that Tony has not yet won any of his fights. You're making a punk out of him!

gwen patton (ardrhi) says:

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

--Langston Hughes

Jill Emory (amethyst_koneko) says: Hey! Lovin' the comic! It was recommended to me by someone at LiveJournal and I am so glad they did! I have to admit tho that I have no idea who most of these mascots are but the story is so compelling that I don't even care that I am clueless as to who everyone is! :) I can not wait to see the last 10 pages of this!!! :D
Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says: I can. I'm anxious for the pages, but reluctant to see it done.
Mikal Belicove (belicove) says: Totally dig it, B. Nice work.
Rachel Floyd (dorcasmolorcas) says:

Hi Brendan,

It's me...the devil.  I got an account just to write this.  Great job.  Love this last page.  Your fans are cool too.   They seem very attached to that there Trix Rabbit.  Alas.

 See ya Thursday.
