Gotta love that top hat action on Quasi. Very old school 70s Lynyrd Skynyrd. HA!

I should admit at this point that I have little to no idea what a genuine cool person would look like. But then, these guys are a college goth rockabilly band. Some breaking of fashion laws may be expected.
Thankew. I actually went back and tweaked the background, which originally consisted of, like, a bunch of blurs. Now it actually looks decent! Although, drawing guitars in perspective? Hard.
By the way, it's funny that your name is Serena, as there's a character named Serena who'll be appearing in the strip in the future. Probably not for months, though.
Poor Carol. I honestly don't sit down at the keyboard going, "How can I torment Carol this week?" but it just comes out that way. In my defense, she's probably wound a bit too tight to begin with. Oh well, things'll get better for her soon. Meanwhile, as others have pointed out, Cosmo's having a great couple of weeks, seemingly in inverse proportion to Carol's.
If it seems like Book Two has been less focused on Cosmo than Book One, you're not imagining things. I'm trying to flesh out the supporting cast a little more, particularly Esme and Vincent.

poor woodlouse he doesn't what trouble is ahead of him.
It's after. We do things in chronological order around here, by cracky! (Hence the addition of my little X-Files-ish caption timeline).
Don't worry, there'll be a resolution to that plotline. Nothing hugely interesting has happened at the moment--Cosmo didn't call her. He was brushing her off when he said he would call.
I once had an incredibly stoned guy wander up to me and ask me what planet he was on. I guess that was the inspiration for this strip.
By the way, three of the major dorms at Kincaid are named Haim, Feldman and Belushi Houses. There's another--it might have been "Baio House" but I don't have my notes with me right now. And the town nearby, as we'll see, is Landisberg. Pop culture references ahoy!
