Great Sage (sunwukong) says: My German is quite rusty but I suspect Satyr Guy just got royally slagged off :)
Michael Beck (michaelbeck) says:

It's "you idiotic two-legged goat".

However, Vincent's grammar is off.  He would likely be saying "du", which is the second-person pronoun when speaking to an animal or a small child.  If he wants to use the formal "Sie", he should remember to capitalize it.

Adam Prosser (prankster) says:

What are you, suggesting I don't know German? That I just ran the dialogue through Babelfish and called it a day? Huh?

...Because yeah, that's exactly what happened. Good catch, MB.

Great Sage (sunwukong) says:

This would be what confused me- the bad grammar is especially a pain with pronouns as sie means 3 different things as a pronoun  - it is either she, they or thee and so it screws things up if you get it wrong.

Other than that i didn't recognise the second word :)

Great Sage (sunwukong) says: Oops  - that Hogmanny, anyway have a happy whatever  - see you next year :)
Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says:

Whack, Crunch, FOLD.

That is my favorite new onomatopeia for having one's ass kicked. Of all that list, FOLD sounds as though it hurt the most, too.

Ben Slotnick (compl33tbull) says: i dont think fold is an onomatopeia, cause an onomatopeia is a sound that is translated into words. fod is wats happeniong so fold is not an onomatopeia. correct me if im rong, just dont flame me ha ha
Great Sage (sunwukong) says: You are correct Ben Fold is either a verb or a noun depending on context :)
Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says: I defer to M. Slotnick's wisdom in this matter.
Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says: However, I am curious if feminist woman knows Cosmo is exceeding Woodlouse in the user department - and managed to get caught up in a three way.
Adam Prosser (prankster) says:

Heh heh, "Ben Fold".

Hester knows, because Brandina is pretty much her best friend, and would have told her. She has no objection to people having sex (and the three-way was pretty much Brandina's idea), she just doesn't like that Woodlouse is a non-commital manipulator of women. From her perspective, anyway.

Ben Slotnick (compl33tbull) says:

yay

"is our children learning?"-george w. bush 2007

apparently we is mr bush

Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says: Has someone been dispatched to get the beer? Or some other intoxicating beverage? I can't see this group going without beer. Especially Oona whom I think has the capability of drinking everyone at the University under the table.
Adam Prosser (prankster) says: Oh, keep reading...
Great Sage (sunwukong) says: Shouldn't that be Universe Josh? :)
Great Sage (sunwukong) says: No Not the Beer!!!! you evil maniacs!!!
Ben Slotnick (compl33tbull) says:

to be honest, i reall really dont like brandine's eyes

they scare me

Great Sage (sunwukong) says: Something very strange is happening to her, i think she is undergoing a metamorphosis of some kind - her eyes are weird though - always have been.
Adam Prosser (prankster) says:

Hey, Cosmo has no eyebrows. And Esme's hair looks like it could impale you. And Ganji's chin is weird. And Vincent HAS BOLTS COMING OUT OF HIS HEAD. They're all strange and cartoony.

Ben Slotnick (compl33tbull) says: yea, i know,  its just the eyes just seem out of place for the rest of the character
Great Sage (sunwukong) says: Actually I think I know what is going on here - Brandina is clearly intended as a Superman rip off - except female  - look at her origin story, pure Clark Kent, also Supergirl has Blonde hair but has a brunette wig for her secret identity  - at least in earlier versions of SG. The eyes sre drawn in a very simiar way and could also be a nod towards Dick Tracy. Adam is having a laugh at the expense of some of the cultural icons of America - maybe :)
Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says: I didn't realize how much a lack of shading really stands out until I saw these latest panels. I kept trying to put my finger on what was different, then I finally really noticed Esme's plain, boring old purple hair and it dawned on me what was missing.
Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says: Can't understand what poor old Dankmeyer is afraid of.
Adam Prosser (prankster) says:

Yep, boring old purple hair...

When I started the strip, the shading was vital to make the graphics pop. Now, I look at this strip without shading and I think it looks pretty decent, because I've gotten much more detailed in my drawing and inking. Obviously I'm going to shade it still, I'm just saying.

Someday I'm going to try doing a comic with just the classic solid black shadowing technique and all flat colours. I like that look but I've yet to pull it off.

Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says: Ho ho, hee hee, and hah hah. The expressions in that last panel are priceless! I suppose  that was the intent, but goat boy the satyr gets on my nerves a bit. I look forward to his comeuppance at the appropriate time.
Josh Shepherd (bergerjacques) says:

Also, in just two pages, you have made me dig the hell out of Kalinar.
