Jo Ashley is the eldest of the Psychobabes, a little older than her classmate Charlotte. As is fitting for a drummer, Jo is the practical one, the planner, and in the absence of a real manager she's the one who runs the band's affairs. She keeps a hawkish eye on the music press and shifting trends, books and organizes their gigs and even tries to bring some order (or at least harmony) to the band itself. She loves music, loves gigging, loves Minerva's nightlife, but she's a serious person at the bottom of it all. Charlotte and Jo founded the band, and Jo's grounded approach and determined nature are a large part of what keeps them going when times get tough - as they invariably do!
