Perhaps I am just a sucker for cute girls in berets and a romance comic, but I have to say that most romance comics are very, very predictable.
I started reading this and was a bit unsure if Chateau Wonderul was going to turn out to be just another indistinguishable romance comic with nothing quite 'special' about it. I was skeptical since the comic did start out with a dream sequence and then it turned to the girl leaving home to pursue her dreams, but by the last page that was updated I was sure that Mr. Richard could definitly bring something into his comic that will set it apart from others.
For one thing his art is mangaesque with a wonderful twist making a very nice unique style. The ink washes and cross hatching are well done giving everything a more polished look to the comic. The only problem I find with his style is the way he draws hands -- but that's a personal preference. With his style, Mr. Richard has mad characters are likeable so far. Their expressions are wonderfully drawn and lively.
Overall this is a nice comic with charm that lovers of romance will adore. I can not wait to see how this comic will progress.
