Innies and Outties is a refreshingly entertaining slice of childhood. Leonard Cachola works hard to captured the heart of young kids in his comics, and as a father of three (and a former child), I'd say he is right on.
I can't tell you how often I have tried to read comics to my kids over the years and have had to throw the book away or close the computer screen due to inapropriate content, and this even from work by friends in the industry. How sad. Not so with Innies and Outties. I appreciate the cartoonist's ability to present material that is rarely jaded, but pure and generally hopeful. If you want to be cynical and hopeless, this is not a comic for you. For those however that remember the value of their youth and the innocence of discovery, read Innies and Outties.
