To say the art of political cartoons is dead is a lie. To say they're all unfunny is wrong. For me to tell you that political cartoons have no place on the internet is false. This comic proved that to me.
From Darth Cheney, to Obi-Wan Murtha. Giant floppy eared President Bush. New Orleans to Valerie Prime. Political Jeopardy to Survivor: Washington. Neil Lisst has not only proven to be a comedic genius in the writing department, complimented well by the art of Rempel, but it's also the name of an actually funny Political Cartoon. Note: It's the only one I can read and actually come back to a second time....and a third....fourth....and now I'm writing a review.
Usually in color, unless the satire of the strip is a stab at racism, Neil Lisst is a colorful world, vibrant in its details, but not too distracting; The focus is the writing. Stay tuned to your CNN, Fox News, and what-have-you...because the strip is usually quite accurate to the time you're living. Neil will hit above and below the belt. He takes no prisoners...and he does it with excellent taste, while delivering to you exactly what you're thinking. Refer to his New Orleans disaster set of strips.
If you're a person who reads the newspaper, reads the news websites, watches the news on TV, or is just pivvy to the news via molecular transmission of radiowaves into your brain...this is the comic for you.
Even if it's not, read it. Darth Cheney demands it.
... read it now!
