Personally I enjoy the story line because of how it deals with the matter of death. In Frankenstein, he made a monster, but Herbert goes one step farther and makes her main character into the monster. Take the monster label with a grain of salt, just as Frankenstein does, because the monster isn't evil. But there is definitely the undertone that there is more to be described later in the story. I know I'm interested to read.
