"SMILE is the true story of the time Raina knocked her two front teeth out when she was 11 years old, and how she got her smile back."
I love the fluid lines and emotion evoked in Raina's art. It reminds me of early Lynn Johnston or Craig Thompson in "Blankets". Like "Blankets", the art in "SMILE" perfectly complements the storytelling.
I can't wait for the graphic novel. Highly recommended.
Speaking of which, Raina's first graphic novel adaptation "The Baby-sitters Club #1" is coming out soon.
