Danner & Smith have created an evocative and heart-breaking world in this simple drama. What immediately appeals is the opening splash - expertly rendered and setting the tone. The story unfolds gently and packs a wallop at the end. I love work like this as it is reminiscent of what I am trying to do in my own.
