Death's work is often misunderstood

I came up with this after I overheard a person tell their friend, who had just found out a loved one died, say "God makes these things happen for a reason."  It provided little comfort to the friend but seemed to put the speaker in far greater comfort.

I've always found the saying irritating and wondered how the speaker would feel if it had happened to them.  Or better yet, how about an anthiest friend offering comfort with, "Well, at least the worms will eat good tonight."
