Sunrise is the tale of Sun, a strange girl cursed with cat ears and a tail, who is found bearing the chains of a prison ship and unconscious in the wastelands of the outer world, by a young man named Alec. It isn't long before Sun's past threatens the lives of those around her. Alec and Sun are forced to make their way to the lands known as Eden, a part of the world that has been cut off from the corruption by a deadly electrical storm for 15 years, the only place they might be safe from 'The Companies' relentless pursuit of Sun. Joining them is the reluctant mercenary Damon, an old friend of Alec's father and Flo a flower shop girl who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
