As I'm fairly under the weather today, this late blog entry will also be a short one.

I've enjoyed slashdot from time to time, but only when I run into it. For those of you with little knowledge about the workings of websites, slashdot is geek central and we're talking millions of geeks. A link from them can easily generate too many hits, taking down your server with too many requests for pages per second and drowning you in bandwidth costs. Even in the webcomic world there are a couple of players who have the kind of audience that can take sites out. PVP and Penny Arcade come to mind.

And now back to bed.
