July 30, 2008 – I’ve been experimenting with dozens of inking tools over the past couple of decades, brushes, pens, markers, brushpens… I’ve got a handle on most of them, but combinations trip me up. Here, I’m playing with a number 2 round brush and a regular old ink pen. Oh, and that last little head is self-portraiture. It wouldn’t be a proper sketchbook without some kind of self-depricating remark at least once every couple of pages.

*Note: I’m building a store to support my comicing. I’ll eventually do some advertising for it, but if you want in on the ground floor, there are already some neat underground books posted at fair prices (I grade VERY strictly). So hop on over to Journeyintohistory.com if you’re interested. (Highlights posted so far are some tough to find copies of Comic Art Magazine and Kramers Ergot, Weirdo, and some cheap reading copies of Yummy Fur amongst a bunch of 70’s and 80’s superhero books. Thanks for looking.)
