August 4, 2008 – I’m sure I’ll regret it, but at some point in the last few days I decided to post everything in my sketchbooks, the good and the bad, the experiments - failed and successful, one page every weekday for the next however long it takes. And so I am happy with nothing on this page - tough. See, I’m a fairly recent fan of R. Crumb’s work, but I’ve been somehow bothered by the editing of his published sketchbooks. I understand the necessity – paper costs money. And I’m not raising Crumb to compare his sketchbooks to mine. I am in awe of much of what he does with the pen, particularly in his sketchbooks, and I doubt anyone will be trading a house in the South of France for mine anytime soon. But I have this resource thanks to Joey Manley, this place where I can post as much work as I want. Here goes. Beware, though, there’s lots of it, the crap, that is.

Note: This past weekend I've added the Hellboy Graphic Novels and a bunch of golden age books to the Journey Into History Store. Thanks for looking.
