August 18, 2008: Two things going on here. First, brush pens are fun, less mess, portable, but the downside is steep. They cost a bunch. Most of the inks they're filled with fade, and the don't stay sharp very long. Here's the result, a dull mess of black. Second, what's the right balance between darks and lights, for me, for any artist.
