Chadwick Cicero Cleanly was born on January 14, 1970 to Charles and Chandra Cleanly. Chad's Dad works at PCG Industries as a executive vice president in charge of hair mousse production. Chad's Mom is a yoga teacher and all-round nice person. Chad has one sister, Christine, who attends college during the day and tries to overthrow the government at night.
Chad didn't start out wanting to be in television news. His ambition was to be a world-class extreme Frisbee player. While in high school, he went on a class trip to the local TV station and, after getting a look at the shapely female co-anchor, decided broadcast news was in the cards for him.
After college, where he majored in urine production studies, he got a job at that same local TV station. He started out doing the salt pile reports in the winter and earned the nickname "Do Anything for the Money Cleanly." An WYZE crew saw him doing his report and thought,"Whoa! We could use a good hack!" and hired him on the spot.
After many months of sucking up and hard networking, Chad was rewarded with the coveted co-anchor spot on WYZE "Oh God, It's Morning!"
