Yeah, so obviously I love it when people do stuff like this. I was delighted that some enterprising folks put James Rice's pumpkin stencil to good use. Look how awesome!

I have a book of fanfic called Startoons, and there's a comic strip style report of a scifi con by Phil Foglio, with the credit-"Ritzy lettering by James Rice!"

Same J.R., perchance?

And that is an awesome jack o lantern. Scary Helen-brrr!

Ed Gedeon (eddurd) says:

@Chic Geek:  I have the same book, which made me a fan of Mr. Foglio.  Later I was a fan of his work in "Dragon" Magazine, and still later I found his "Girl Genius" series online, which led me to another webcomic about a blonde, bespectacled madwoman scientist ... guess which one?

James Rice (jhrice) says: There is no way that Ritzy lettering was by me.  My lettering, at it's best might be generously described as "meets minimum standards".
Sean McLane (zodo) says:

This was actually the impetus for me to start doing Jack-O-Lanterns like this, and the Narbon-o-Lantern was my first attempt at using a template. Since then, I've done a number of them. Here's a link to a few pics of them.
