Rachel S. (masamage) says: I am falling in love with Sweetheart.
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: It's a CANADIAN rampage!
Aaron Shades (prof_tinker) says: She... she looks so proud of herself.
Joe Charneskie (mutant-sentry) says: She is reminding me more and more of my puppy...
James Rice (jhrice) says: Should see the tail wagging in the first panel.
NigaiAmai Yume (nigaiamai_yume) says: Love love LOVE Sweetheart in panel two!! ^-^
Aaron Shades (prof_tinker) says: Heh. This ought to be fun.
Edwin Quantrall (reynard) says:

"I had to take out a whole Wal-Mart before they sent the pigs!"

Anyone who shops at Wal-Mart *DESERVES* to get their @$$ rampaged on...

(BTW: Did you *have* to use "pigs" when referring to the Police? Granted, some of them don't always live up to the oath that they took in order to wear their badge/uniform, but not *ALL* police officers are deserving of such an insult.)

Shaenon Garrity (shaenongarrity) says: Opinions expressed by violence-crazed zombies are not intended to express the opinions of Shaenon K. Garrity and Jeffrey C. Wells.
Rob Reed (rrreed) says: In Unity's case, her left hand (or hemisphere) might literally not know what the right one is doing…
Fred (narsham) says: So, what's the cop stopping them for? Littering, loitering, or... LEASH LAWS? That'd a darn good reason for a real rampage.
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: Uh-huh.
Ed Gedeon (eddurd) says:

So the cop tries to put a collar on Sweetheart (literally) ... which triggers Unity into rampage mode ... at which point Sweetheart will be the leashed of his problems.

BWAAAAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAaaaaaa .... *whew* I needed that ...

Thomas Levy (ergonomytch) says:

Once again, Shaenon Garrity's love of They Might Be Giants rears its lyrical head!

"Now I know just what to do: Fake amenesia!"

Aaron Shades (prof_tinker) says: That's it, I'm getting the 'Ed bat' out of storage again.
Shaenon Garrity (shaenongarrity) says: I'm afraid this one is all due to Jeffrey's love of They Might Be Giants.

(Which I totally got him into.)
Tiff Hudson (tiff_hudson) says:

Uh, oh! switch (event) {case leashJerk: initRampage(); break;...}

I'd think twice, though - the girl from Animal Control is kinda cute!

Michael Brewer (wusemajor) says:

You know, I was gonna say that Tip will be getting a strange phone call tomorrow, but having to bail a coworker out of the pound, reset a sentient babbage engine, and break a zombie out of the mental hospital are all probably weekly occurances.

Ed Gedeon (eddurd) says:

Love Unity's blank stare in the last panel.

Of course, the Animal Control lady might let Sweetheart go if she starts talking (to say the leashed).

Marleen de Kramer (malabarista) says: Maybe she'll incite the other animals at the pound to rebellion - that would be a good rampage!
Aaron Shades (prof_tinker) says: I just see this ending with Sweetheart having a polite chat with the nice animal controll lady, complaining about their jobs.
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: This will be interesting.
Brian Rogers (billionsix) says: hehe. I am imagining the voices in my head. Unity is saying her amnesia lines in an overly loud, stilted, not-very-good-acting voice. Very funny. :)
Dave Van Domelen (dvandom) says: Such a pip.
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: Oooops.
Ed Gedeon (eddurd) says:

Darn, she had such a good cover story all ready to use and no one to appreciate it!  She never even got to the part about her love for garage sales and ceramic figurines!  (I still love Unity's blanky-eyed amnesiac stare.)

Today's band name: "Vroom Gradient".

Zhou Fang (fhnuzoag) says: Can normal characters actually hear Sweetheart talk?
Jeremy Berg (pisceneanteater) says: Damn it!  They drove off and forced her to rush the shocking revelation!
Aaron Shades (prof_tinker) says: .... she's not a very good friend, really. Of course, she still reminds me of most of the girls I hung out with in high school.
Rachel (admiralshazbot) says: The thing about Unity is that while she may be distracted by getting into character, she will inevitably rescue Sweetheart. She's a good friend, just too into her cover story.
Michael Taub (otakuloki) says:

I'm not so sure.  Unity will definitely follow the pound people to where Sweetheart is being held.  Unity will also use firearms, explosives, and fire to destroy the pound where Sweetheart is being held.

Whether Unity remembers to adjust her use of firepower to avoid injuring Sweetheart is another proposition altogether.

Ed Gedeon (eddurd) says:

IIIICE  CRREEEEEEEEEEAAAMMMMM!!!!!

(Well, isn't that what the poem says you're supposed to do?)

NigaiAmai Yume (nigaiamai_yume) says:

Well, the fatal flaw in this protocol is, as a self-proclaimed zombie, Unity doesn't have a life of her own to sacrifice. As seen in The Corpse Bride, "Death has already parted you", so it's all null, void, and pointless.

I hope Unity got something like Ben & Jerry's Half Baked, or at least sufficiently mixed item ice cream. But Half Baked's best, for so many reasons. ^-^

Tiff Hudson (tiff_hudson) says: Shiny!
Aaron Shades (prof_tinker) says: You know they have an Elton John flavor now? Yellow Brickle Road.
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: Heh.
Alexander McConnell (pennery) says: I bought The Else, by the alternative gods TMBG, and boy was I surprised to hear the song Feign Amnesia! Total time-aport back to when I read this comic. :D
Honora O\'Toole (jinjur) says: I guess I'm the only one here who gets both the TMBG and Oz references Unity made. Ah, it's good to be a nerd.
