Jeffrey: A planet whose dominant life-form was Sweetheart would probably be very orderly (and have no cats). All in all, probably your best bet for Planets Populated By Members of Our Core Cast. Planet Tip would be very stylish, true, but dude, do you really want to live on Planet Tip? How exhausting would that be?

Just to be pedantic -- the lower "backward-bending" joints on a dog's leg (above the paw proper) are ankles. The entire bottom segment is their foot, and as Halfelven noted, they walk on their toes.. (The knees and elbows (which latter also bend backwards) are farther up.)
I haven't played Spore myself (no Windows), but I get the impression it's not too easy to actually duplicate an Earthly lifeform (which is perhaps as it should be, given the vagaries of evolution).
I play on a Mac. And I may tweak Sweetheart a bit more, to try and model her legs a bit better. Or I may not, since there's lots more stuff to play around with.
Regardless, I think she's cute. ;)
