Shaenon: Check this action out! It's a kickass Unity by Otter of A Girl and Her Fed fame! Because these secret government webcomics agents have to stick together.
Otter writes, "I have no idea where the pickax came from... it was supposed to be a hockey stick but it sort of took on a life of its own." Obviously it's because pickaxes are awesome.
Channing: I really like this one a lot. It's got a nice Works Progress Administration / Rosie the Riveter vibe. Also, tangentially, y'all don't know how happy I am to see Otter here. Take a moment to go read AGaHF; It's good stuff.
The pickaxe is probably the same one we see here; once you've got a pickaxe, you hold on to it, brother.

In the Google Reader RSS feed, it reads as "Otter by Unity." I'm trying to decide whether that juxtaposition is some kind of commentary on her status as an example of Yin-Yang-ness, or simply a mistake.

A moment to read AGaHF? A moment, you say. *snort*
I have to agree with Valerie Kaplan - I stumbled onto AGaHF in the middle of trying to finish a group project for school. I remember sitting in a student area, my laptop using the school wireless, TEARING because I was so fricken tired from lack of sleep, unable to stop hitting the "next" button, yelling at myself to either do the work that needed to be done or go home and sleep.
I believe I made the right decision getting to current updates in that sitting. ^-^
Absolutely PERFECT fan art. I want to see Unity and the Girl together! Oh, they'd have some FUN!!!!!!

Heyyy, nice. Thanks, Otter!

See, I got an awesome pickaxe That I stole somewhere! Me, I'm gonna go and kick ass, On a panda bear! She's disarmingly contentious, Fight 'til five o'clock! Then we'll all go out for breakfast ... IHOP's waffles rock!
Craven Froids (craven_froids) says:
Well, there is the question of Unity having (stealing) a pickaxe in the "Wild Things" arc a while back. A zombie girl rampaging straight through buildings with "Because I have a pickaxe!" as her one standing alibi... logic to live by.

Miss Garrity, have you noticed you always say you have trouble getting used to drawing some animal, in this case, Sweetheart, and then you somehow end up drawing for a storyline which involves almost only drawings of that particular kind of animal so you end up becoming an expert?
I think it's subconscious. Maybe your so self-demanding that you make it so you can get lots of practice. I mean, you did the same back with Narbonic and the Gerbils.
Also it may prove you like to challenge yourself. If I'm right, that's really great. When I try to draw something really hard to draw for me (i.e.: a dot, a line, a letter, everything) I just give up and burn every copy of it so nobody wants to rip out his/her eyes after seeing it.
I have to clarify, of course, I'm not comparing your awesomeness to my incompetence. Your drawings aren't even near eye-ripping-desire quality.
Keep up the great work, both of you.
P.S.: Something I've been curious about... Is Unity rotting? Does she smell, like... Dead?
I really, really enjoyed this. The humor works brilliantly, and the animation is much better than I had imagined. The way you have “blended” (hehe) it all together makes this look like a solid, whole product, as good as any Pixar short. Probably better. But then again: That’s my opinion. we offer cheap ed hardy up to 35%-65% off, ed hardy ed hardy is a kind of street style clothing online store, they are all the newest and cheap ed hardy. http://www.edhardychothing.com/
