This map of the Smithson College campus was in the info packet Shaenon sent me when I started drawing the strip. She apparently drew it up early in the writing process, as a guide for all the locations seen in the strip. Any relation to a certain college whose name starts with "V" is completely coincidental.

The spiral in the center of the map is a piece of sculpture (reminiscent of Robert Smithson's Spiral Jetty earthwork) that appears in several strips: Micki is unsucessfully petitioned by some Ultimate Frisbee dudes, Micki and Chumucka Man cross paths, Micki's takedown of the backpack thief.
