I've been reading Edward Gorey since I was five (explains a lot I'm sure), and I have to say this is perfectly Gorey. You captured the style exactly.  I wanted to show it to all my friends, but unfortunately none of them have ever heard of Edward Gorey (intellectual lightweights all of them damn their eyes!).  I did send it to my Aunt who did appreciate it for the work of artistic genius it is.
