If you do have an answer please send it to my mail nathan_summers508@hotmail.com

Year One rocks!

Cushing & Brandt (internalaffairs) says:
I was a fan before, but the Civil War run has been some of the most consistently fantastic work you've done, not to mention a brilliant commentary on the whole event.
Kudos!
 - Ted
M. Parkinson (snufflymonkey) says: hey wow - a comment box - boy, have a week off and look what happens! Awesome! :) Expect Year one to return to normal schedule next week!
Buttz James (conversesc) says:

How come Speedball isn't Penance.

Come on!  Penance is the most hilarious thing I've ever seen.  It's dark and gritty Speedball for God's sake!
J. Kiefer (carew) says: Yay! I hope the time off was as fruitful as you'd hoped it would be. I can't wait to see what you have cooked up.
Gil Hudson (gil_hudson) says: Glad to hear you're coming back.  Just found this a few weeks ago and read through it all in a few days.  Great stuff.
M. Parkinson (snufflymonkey) says: look! Comments! Now nice and easy - please leave a comment and add a little bit of sunshine into my day! (mike)
William Steele (kaven) says: Welcome Back.  I just want to let you know that reading year one is one of few reasons I go into the office each day.  Please keep it up, you brighten my days.
Gregory Davis (direwraithe) says: Welcome back to the intratubes!! Keep it up, love the comic!!!
J. Kiefer (carew) says:

Great to have you back. Even without being in on the inside joke the Hiro appearance was still enjoyable. This strip is always fun to read, only here can I watch Batman and Spidey debate on the "best" television shows.

Jorge Gonzalez (jorge) says: Well it's a lil hard to understand for a no DC reader like me but it's great to have u back!
A Dugdale (dugdale24) says:

hiro is great.

glad you're back mike. hope you had a productive time.

Dan H (frodo-x) says: Love this strip! And that Heroes one a couple days ago..in-joke or not, that was great!
M. Parkinson (snufflymonkey) says: i should also add i love ult wolvy here :)
L Tang (sentaiwarrior) says: Good stuff as always!
A Dugdale (dugdale24) says:

Its funny because its true.

Neil Adams (rilynil) says: Good one, Mike! -- Neil --
Dan H (frodo-x) says:

I like how he refers to himself as "Ultimate Hulk."

You, sir, are awesome!

M. Parkinson (snufflymonkey) says: heh. i have him saying ultimate hulk cos otherwise how woudl you know? :)
mike higgins (bairdduvessa) says:

let me sau that i fully endorse and love this idea/strip!

as for the joker issues, i never made it past the forst paragraph

mike higgins (bairdduvessa) says: say not sau
Cushing & Brandt (internalaffairs) says:

Great strip! I hate 616 Deadpool, but that's because most of the writers try too hard and end up not being funny. That problem's eliminated here, so I can take 'im.

And I actually liked Morrison's Joker issue. Took a long time to read, but how often do people complain that Bendis issues don't take long enough to read? I appreciate it when people get creative with the format and give me more for my money. For once, I actually understood why a delayed issue took so long. Now, if the novella had been crap, that would have been a different story. But I liked it. Ah well, end of rant. - Kevin/Morbius/Hsuc

Gary Edwards (dingo) says:

I also heartily endorse this product and/or promotion.

Seriously, great idea for a format with Deadpool jokes.

A Dugdale (dugdale24) says: great concept. Id read a comic strip about a deadpool chat show. In fact i just did.
Carla Hewitt (snapjudgments) says: Genius use of Deadpool!  Here's to more!
mike higgins (bairdduvessa) says: but we got to see punisher kill super villans again!
Gary Edwards (dingo) says:

Have you read Punisher War Journal issue 4 Higgins?

Punisher kills about 3 years worth of villains.

Tony Virtanen (ouchmaker) says:

But unlike Jack and Jester, he only "comic book" kills them, meaning that you can't be sure they died before someone mentions about it, or they show about it in the next issue.

Keep up the good work, Parkinson.

Mike S (venomous) says: LOL kick ass, that last panel is great. I love your version of Jackolantern
Carla Hewitt (snapjudgments) says: Ever helpful Spidey.  =D
Dan H (frodo-x) says:

Awesome.

And if your heart's not really into the Civil War stuff, don't force yourself to keep doing it.  Though I'm sure everyone (myself included) would like you to at least have a resolution to it before you move on, even if it's one strip.

Frank Castle (punisher) says: Perfect time for a Payback cameo, coming up...
Gary Edwards (dingo) says:

Oooooh, in colour! Technicolour even!  And Deadpooly goodness!

....

All overshadowed by a very sad story. May his back issues rest in peace.

mike higgins (bairdduvessa) says: dude if that comic ever happened i'd buy as many copies as i could.  i wonder if wade will mourn for cap seeing how they had a history together
A Dugdale (dugdale24) says: may i add, glorious technicolour. Great strip and cool way of dealing with the the cap dead thing.
Neil Adams (rilynil) says: Awesome one, Mike :)
L Tang (sentaiwarrior) says: Another winning strip - despite the sad subject.
Jonathan Miller (jonathan_miller) says: Nice one Mike
Carla Hewitt (snapjudgments) says: Wow!  Yay fantastic color work!  Go Get 'em, DP!
Gary Edwards (dingo) says:

So you feel rather highly about Spider-Man hey?

At least there is one thing we can all agree on...

EAT IT BATS!

A Dugdale (dugdale24) says:

Poor Bats.

Though, you are right, Spidey is better than batman.

Gary Edwards (dingo) says: Don't forget that Thor and Iron Man (I think) were the same month in the history of the MU.
Neil Adams (rilynil) says: Yep, Spidey rocks harder than any other superhero!
L Tang (sentaiwarrior) says:

Cool! Power Pack seem to be going through a bit of a rennaisance at the moment - what with their minis, Katie's appearance in the Avengers Next mini and now an appearance on Year One! Any chance of seeing the other Power siblings?

M. Parkinson (snufflymonkey) says: i hadnt really thought about it but anythings possible..
A. Rand (taellosse) says: I will point out that Jack O' Lantern is actually a moderately significant Spidey-villain (right up there with Boomerang, I'd say.  Definitely a second stringer, but not a pointless one-off, either).  Or, at least, he has been in certain incarnations.  One version of him went on to become the second Hobgoblin (the one that eventually got possessed by a demon, who eventually split off from Hobby to take on an independent life as Demogoblin).  He was a lot less stupid when he stopped using a pogo-platform as his transportation, in favor of a rocket disc or something.  He's sorta always been a Green Goblin rip-off, though.
Cushing & Brandt (internalaffairs) says: So Mike, I'm sensing you somewhat obsessively didn't like that moment, huh?
M. Parkinson (snufflymonkey) says: A.Rand - yep, you're right but still..and c+b - just a little bit..
Tony Virtanen (ouchmaker) says: well, you can think of it like this; Spider-Man was already weak after fighting IronMan, and he was in a small and confined space, with is an enviroment least suitable for Spider-Man. And they knew where he was, and got lucky. You know, before Punisher shot and killed them.
Gary Edwards (dingo) says: Come in and say 'Hi' to me!
Neil Adams (rilynil) says: Good luck, guys! :) Sounds like a fun venture!
M. Parkinson (snufflymonkey) says: Sounds like a risky venture. Its tough - make no bones about it.
Carla Hewitt (snapjudgments) says:

Rock on!  Good luck guys, comic retail is a thankless business.  But getting to actively discuss who would win in a fight between Batman and Superman is priceless.

M. Parkinson (snufflymonkey) says: Gah - ive been trying to upload the strip and it wont work. Apologies - hopefully it'll go up tomorrow..
M. Parkinson (snufflymonkey) says:

Hoorya - it finally uploaded!

Anyway - this is kind of a follow on to the last sell out strip i did a few months back.

BUt most importantly if you live in Perth, Western Australia come down and check us out - Atwell arcade in Fremantle - the Comic Box!

Dan H (frodo-x) says: Great stuff. Wait a minute...Year One Wolverine can heal from that, right? RIGHT?!
mike higgins (bairdduvessa) says: hey mike sorry i haven't been around.  the strip is still looking good
mike higgins (bairdduvessa) says: great cap vs iron man pic at the bottom
M. Parkinson (snufflymonkey) says: Thanks - yeah -thats two of the trading cards i have up at ebay. They'r elisted singly but you get both of them and you get a matching set :)
mike higgins (bairdduvessa) says: so no lil cap death?  i was waiting to see how you could have made that funny
M. Parkinson (snufflymonkey) says:

hey Higgins - read my comment again -

"you can bet i have stuff to say regarding Cap "

Frank Castle (punisher) says: Excellent! Frank's return!!
Frank Castle (punisher) says: ahhh, haha. Clever. =)
Frank Castle (punisher) says: Great coloring on Pun! Makes him look very youthful here.
Dan H (frodo-x) says: Good enough for me!
Carla Hewitt (snapjudgments) says:

I think YO!Captain Marvel said it all for me.  =)

Fantstic colors!

Emily R. (captain_emily) says:

Aww, I realize that this is a Marvel comic, but what's with all the Bat-bashing?

Besides, everyone knows that Batman is THE MAN!

So, SUCK IT SPIDEY!  =op  (Sorry, but I had to.)
