Split Lip's Two-Year Anniversary Celebration and ContestSince October 2006, Split Lip has been providing a new horror webcomic nearly every month. In October 2008, though, the site will feature four new stories, one each week to celebrate the end of its second year in existence. The four stories are: Long Live the King, art by Gary Crutchley ("Straw Men") – a scientist performs human experiments on coalminers in the 1800s, with unexpectedly horrifying results. Bad Radio, art by Nelson Evergreen ("The Tree of Remembrance") – a young boy makes friends over a ham radio, but his friend has an infamous past. Mujer, by Sami Makkonen ("Harvestmen") – The murders of women in Juarez, Mexico come to an inexplicable end. Panopticon, by Joel Vollmer – A guilty man faces a store full of people who have never seen him before, but who all know his secret. All four stories were written by series creator and writer Sam Costello. One story will be posted each week until the end of the month.
