Tom Pappalardo (aka Standard Design) is the author of Failure, Incompetence (self-published, 2005) and Through the Wood, Beneath the Moon (Caliber Comics, 1998, drawn by Matt Smith). He is a collaborator on Famous Fighters (self-published, 2006, also with Matt) and self-released the comic collection "Even Lions Will Fear You" in 2009. He is currently working on the weekly black and white comic strip The Optimist and his long-simmering graphic novel project, Broken Lines.
