I have dark brown Volks eyelashes that I can install into your doll (which I do with painter's tape and washable glue so that they're reusable), but I'll have to charge you $2 for that. If you provide eyelashes, the installation is free. Other than those things, that's all! Shipping is paid by you for both ways.

Hi! Let's get down to business, shall we? My name is Chien, and I'm good at natural face-ups but am open to other styles. If you're interested in commissioning me, please email me at chienism@gmail.com with "Face-up Commission" as the title. Thank you!

I will not copy another artist's face-up style, so please don't ask for me to do that.

You don't have to send me the whole doll unless you want body blushing. It would be nice if you sent the doll with its default eyes and wig so that I could work with those things in mind-- but it's fine if you don't. I can only do face-ups and ship dolls on Fridays and Saturdays, so unfortunately I might have your doll for a little bit. If there are any delays, I will notify you. I'll try to ship the doll back in the box you sent it in-- if it's mauled, I'll get a new one. You don't have to pay for that.

Turn-around time is about a month. Sorry, it's usually just waiting for the doll to ship-- not the actual painting of the doll that takes time. The post office near my house closes inconveniently early-- about twenty minutes after I get out of school, and it takes me longer than that to get home after class.

I'd really appreciate it if you removed your doll's old face-up before you send it to me. Please don't send me painted heads (unless you want me to just enhance the face-up-- in that case that's fine) at all. The reason is because I've actually encountered cases where the doll's head was stained by the company's face-up. I would really hate to remove a face-up and try to explain to you how there was already a stain there. Who would believe me, yanno?

I'll try to do any style of face-up, though I'm better at natural ones. If what you want for a face-up is too much for me, I'll tell you. I really like taking molds in directions that most people don't go, such as making my sister's pouty Hewitt smile-- or making her cheeky Vera frown. If you want to give me that kind of challenge, I will definitely take it with much gusto.

Materials

I use Liquitex and Zoukeimura acrylics, Rembrandt and Volks pastels, Zoukeimura White Pearl dust, and Zoukeimura Powder Spray with UV-cut. I also use Liquitex gloss and thinner for the acrylics. I use Zoukeimura thinner with the Zoukeimura acrylics.
