Please Hold For Moi

You know when you're told to "hold" while on the phone? A lot of times I feel like people think they can make you go on "hold" for them. Whatever is up with them is more important than whatever you're doing.

"I'm all ears any other day. But today..."

And they don't want to hear that. They grimace and call you selfish and rude and a bad friend and all these other things. The best part is when they leave you feeling guilty. They leave you feeling like you're a bad person for telling them to come back later when you're done doing last minute touches on your chemistry project or are done with your homework.

Then you can't get any work done. Ouch and ouch.
