Shortly after uploading last-week's comic, my primary hard-drive attempted to roll over and die on me. This has necessitated getting a new one, performing a completely clean install of windows and reinstalling all the critical data. Simple enough.

Anyone who has ever done this can stop fucking laughing now.

The long and the short of it is, Windows is a stone-bitch when it wants to be and I'm not looking forward to the day when some johnny-coder manages to start making all their products Vista only.

In the meantime, I have a clean install of windows with minimal croft and ghosted the hard-drive to an external backup. With luck any future meltdowns shouldn't cause too many problems.
