Rodger Sorral, a.k.a The Weasel, is the Supply and Maintenance officer of the Jules-Verne. He has a lot on his arms to keep the ship from disintegrating. He's the guy who knows what's going on, and can give you the latest ship's gossip. On his spare times, he tries (unsuccessfully) to locate captain Kurian's hidden stash of alcoholic beverages.
