Meggers: Well hello there and welcome to the very first page of the webcomic 'Sunrise'. Written by me and drawn by renje. As this is the first page I'll let you know how it's going to go from now on. I'll be providing my little insight into each page, rambling on about what's going on, why I made the decisions I did with the writing and any other interesting (or not) titbits. XD

So, without further delay I'll talk about this page ;)

With the opening page I wanted to go full throttle, so I've dropped you right in the middle of the action. I wanted a dramtic start to the comic, so this and the next few pages are just that. Some comics can take a while to get going, this is the case with Sunrise as character development was important to me. To stop people disguardiung it for this reason the action opening you see now, was used. It leaves open a few questions that will not be answered straight away and hopefully will keep the reader interested.

It also was a great way to introduce Captain Stone, one of the lead characters. He is in his prime here and I felt it was a fitting way to introduce the guy ;)
