Ian is a cultural anthropologist who serves a consultant to the Blackwood Museum in New York. Wolff and Byrd met him in MacLaine, Nevada, where ownership of an ancient Egyptian mummy was in dispute (see Mister Negativity, And Other Tales of Supernatural Law).
