Kailana has not had a fairytale childhood, and that has tempered her resolve to become something extraordianry. With the exception of Atra and Miko, Kailana associates with no one, and spends the majority of her free time with her nose stuck in a spellbook somewhere.

As a result of a lifetime of study, her magical prowess is second to none amongst her peers. She has a friendly rivalry with Miko about proving who is the best when it comes to the arcane arts, and has always come out on top.

When she isn't at school, or reading, she's working. Her late family left behind an old house, which she converted into a used bookstore...her own personal heaven.
