While I love drawing naked bodies, especially in poses like this, there's something a little narcissistic about drawing a character based on yourself looking like that. I wish I were as fit as she is ... but then, half of what these stories are about is wishful thinking.

 

I draw Nikki fit-looking because she obsessively keeps herself that way ... she's not vain by any stretch (in fact, she deliberately rejects conventional forms of beauty in favour of naturality). She's an active person with a need to be in good shape, usually just to run from whatever supernatural beastie that happens to be chasing her. What I didn't draw is the fact that she doesn't shave her legs or armpits, another trait she and I share. Leg hair is honestly a pain in the arse to draw.
