I've had the idea for this comic for ages and ages - in fact it was something it had been intending on doing as a one or two page Bare Pit style comic, possibly featuring Zinni's parents - Harry and Kim. Anyway, I decided to adapt what might have been several panels down into one and found this to be one of the hardest Bare Manors outing so far. The difficulty was mostly around the wording, trying to convey info, emotion and a bit of humour in the most effective way possible. I later received an emaial from a British H&E reader telling me that the publication of the comic in the magazine coincided with a week of lovely weather followed by very wet weekends. Timing!
