LACI is a new GUI system that Tsali developed to interact with the computer. She's a holographic representation of the computer itself. Talking to her equates punching in commands to the mainframe. However, she is also programmed to be a learning computer, to develop her own personality and in essence become...one of the crew, though stop short of actual full self-realization.
