Ursula's Sketch Blog

Several times a week and/or as the whim hits me.

I'm not one to argue with folks who have asked so nicely. The sketch journal is starting up again. Thanks for being so kind about wanting to see my 'thoughts on paper'. :)

A wall drawing on scrap bristol board of flowering trees because Snow Country is in mid-pollen extravaganza. Sharpie and highlighter.

Another wall drawing on scrap bristol. This is a particular Missouri sunset, drawn from memory. I had to stop the car because Kansas City was burning in my rearview mirror, but it was only the sun fireballing through city-haze.

Missouri, from memory. A big long wall drawing on rolled butcher paper. I'm not sure why, but my 'for myself' drawings are turning out to be of Grain Country as of late.

Stretchy swampy trees on scrap bristol with sharpie marker.

A wind battered weeping willow. Bristol board scrap, sharpie marker. These are just throwaway drawings to feed my muse.

Hey look, it's four-pole creek! My muse is happy but I'm mountain-sick. Sharpies and a dying prismacolor marker on free-shelf newsprint.

A few coffee house drawings of random interesting people. I love it when people wear headphones! They never notice that they're being sketched.
