I really think sunglasses would be unnerving to people in the ancient past. The Wikipedia page on sunglasses says they have their earliest known origins in 12th century China, when judges used smoky quartz to conceal their facial expressions.  

By the way, the hut on the left is (metaphorically) the home of my greatest enemy.
